"connection not private", security, or certificate error

Answer

Open up an "incognito" window in Chrome (ctrl-shift-N) and trying to connect from there.
 - try "right clicking" on the last link that threw the error and choosing the incognito window

If using Chrome or Firefox, look for an "advanced" button to click and accept the certificate.

If there is none, try clearing your cookies (ctrl-shift-del) - clear from "time range - all time"

If all else fails try temporarily turning off your antivirus. From Chrome support:

You'll see this error if you have antivirus software that provides "HTTPS protection" or "HTTPS scanning." The antivirus is preventing Chrome from providing security.

To fix the problem, turn off your antivirus software. If the page works after turning off the software, turn off this software when you use secure sites.

Remember to turn your antivirus program back on when you're done.
